for throwback thursday, i’d like everyone to take a moment and come back to the sounds of Miles Davis, a great legend of music. i just finished Quincy Troupe’s amazing book, Miles and Me, which commemorates and honors Miles Davis. check it out. it details the many contributions made by this great musician and reveals the person that he was in a nuanced and honest way. Miles Davis is a genius. he was a madman, but he lives on as a genius. Quincy Troupe is a wonderful writer. listen to the rest of pharoh’s dance and bitches brew if you have time.
